Days of "Strawberry Jam" without "J"
Dear Jam,
I don't think we would ever have a day that is not hectic, especially Mommy is back in sync, back to the banging stage body, I have been quite in demand. Like today, I had to host The Face of Plaza Fair, a joint project of PLAZA FAIR with UNILEVER and it's all thanks to your Tita Sorene that I am part of something I've missed for sometime. I owe you a lot for waking me up today, which is necessary! I had to prepare breakfast, you and then my stuff for the event. It was your precious little voice saying "yabbit" repetitively as you played with that ball of a stuffed rabbit that you
have. That wakeup call was so sweet that I had to say "Good morning Pumpkin!" and replying to that, you sweetly said "Tum-pin?". You then gave me my phone, which was blinking with messages galore and said "Too, tee, too, tee" I thought you meant that I should be contacting a couple of numbers, or perhaps that somebody called. It wasn't until you said it in a sing-songy voice did I understand that you wanted me to play our recording of "123 Jam". Well, thank you Baby. I feel very appreciated for the composition.
After the show, I decided that since tomorrow would be the BARANGAY
So down at Kauswagan you enjoyed the fullest of the remaining day (With a newly snipped bangs, thanks to Mamilou) with me and Nahnang. She brought out the electronic keyboard and played the harmony for "123 Jam" and "ABC Jam", both basically having the same tune. When she was done and sure of it, we switched to DEMO mode and played a couple of pre-recorded tunes in the playlist, including your all-time-favorite "Twinkle Twinkle". Actually, we introduced you to Hendel's compositions, then Canon, a couple of other Nursery rhymes until you sang "Up-abah" with your hands up high to indicate the wide sky. So I said "Ahh...Up above the world so high" then we played "Twinkle Twinkle" to your utter delight.
That was Rated GP, you were awake by this time and as soon you were fast asleep, Nahnang and I went ahead to Rated Horrific. Haha! We were talking about CANNIBALISM, CULTURE, and Anne Rice's QUEEN OF THE DAMNED. Thanks to Anne Rice. No really, I thank her. You know why? She has, with her Queen of the Damned Best Seller, lent me an understanding on how cannibalism plays an important part in some cultures. So I read that unlike accustomed by the majority of cultures in the world, the minority, these called cannibals consider it disrespectful, even sacrilegious to simply bury the body of their loved ones. That they should partake of the ritually prepared and cooked flesh of their dearly beloved is part and parcel of their cycle in living. What they take in from the body, they use up to the fullest and that the person who had lived has fulfilled their purpose to their utmost use. Stuff. And I totally respect the way they have it, it's just that we only choose to call anything that we don't understand as "barbaric" because we don't want to make anymore effort to understand it beyond our norm. As you should know, this was encourage
But of course, our Pre-Halloween Photoshoot with Daddy had to be edited first and I did just that as soon you and Nahnang were fast asleep.
JAMantic of the Day:
To Nahnang's prompting, as you wiggled in bed, we prayed "ANGEL OF GOD". It pacified you, your hands clasped together as you prayed with us and I think that's a good thing. To keep you as that and to assure a good night's sleep, I rubbed your back while singing the prayers "ANGEL OF GOD" and "NOW I LAY ME DOWN" in the tunes I composed for it, for you. Sweet dreams Kitten.
Your MAYmah,
