6 Days to Strawberry Jam without "J"
Dear Jam,
It's the last day of the Northern Mindanao leg of Eight O'Clock's Barangayan 2010. Here I am in Barangay Bonbon, doing what I am good at. Hahah *sigh* I'm gonna miss the whole project programme. If anything else comes out of their sleeves, it would be a totally different show. I just enjoyed seeing the Mommies and Kiddies playing as teams.
So as I was only a couple of miles from Kauswagan, I left you in the care of Mamilo and Lolo before reporting to work. I just got the yema we ordered from your Tita Tonex, which should start a little business for spare change here in cafe. I just need to hide it from your view as Daddy so specifically instructed. He said you've had a liking for it since you tried it and have this intelligence to spot it and convince us to give it to you.
You have now been officially called "Little Big Girl" because of your demeanor with the compact mirror. She said that you would pucker you lips as if you had applied lipstick on it and then you would smile at your reflection. You've also displayed your flair for the arts as you sang and dance to GLEE Season 2 with Lolo in the Living Room and when the Spunky and Choco barked their protestations, you would scold them either "Saba!" (Quiet!) or "Hawa!" (Leave!). What's even cutely funnier was when Mamilou related this to me, you were also babbling to me, trying to get my attention from her as if you were telling me your version of her story.
You're a big girl now, catching on and holding on to the lessons
I was happy when I went to work today, doing all the dual-parent-role-and-responsibilities by myself because Daddy woke us up early in the morning with his wake up call. So yes, it was a happy day for you and me. You woke up just in time for his call, we enjoyed a breakfast of your first to taste a peanut butter pan de sal sandwich. To make up for what cuddling may have been with Daddy, you and I just sat holding each other for a long time early in the morning. It was a pleasant feeling, I have to admit.
JAMantic of the Day:
J: Mama?
M: (correcting tone) Mommy.
J: Mommy?
M: Yes? What does baby want?
J: Eeh-yay-eeh-yay-yow
M: Ahh...(giggles)
J: (smiles) Hud! (Hugs Mommy and then leads the way to the DVD drawer)
M: You don't want BOOK?
J: Bood? Yes!
M: (Opens book to start reading)
J: Nah! Mama, Tatap yeed. Yeed pees. Tatap.
See how convincing you are that you should have it your way? Haha! But I think this is a positive change and progress! ;)
Your MAYmah,
