Dear Jam,
You were rowdy as usual. I think that's what makes you cute! ;)Earlier, we were watching DORA, The Explorer. Actually, I was more of the explorer. I wanted to explore your taste in TV preferences and Dora doesn't happen to be on your list. She was singing and singing and you were squirming to complain that you still wanted Hello Kitty, aka "Meemeen". You only warmed up to Dora when her cousin Diego was a guest in one episode with Baby Jaguar who kept saying "Meow meow meow" like you'd say it. You love cats to that point! TUH! And just like yesterday, you were sleepy onwards afternoon but you wouldn't sway. I had to distract you with toys, this time it was the blusher brush, which you held on to even as you fell asleep.
We had a visitor today at the cafe by the way. Tita-Ninang-Jollibee-Ma'am-Deen brought a crew
Here is a list of your rendition of words:
APPLE > Po-pol
BALL > bol
BUTTERFLY > (making wing sounds and flapping your hands)
BED > beed
BOOK > boo
BEAR > bey
CAT > meemeeyaw eeyawyaw
DOOR > open oh why?
DOLL > me miming meow
DOG > awawa - wowow
DUCK > duh - dak
And with letters, you couldn't go beyond the letter "d". That would be "eye" for "a", "bee" for "b", "sees" for "c", and "dih" for "d".
It's too bad you don't have a picture of your visit to Mamala in the hospital. That would have been your first since you were born. When You, Daddy and Nohnong Poloy were leaving to bring dinner to Papalo and Mamala, I was too late to give the camera. That and you, stumbling head over on the floor when you were running upstairs. Not that I think I should have taken a picture but at least I could have seen what Daddy explained to be your "cartwheel" attempt. He said you cried and after a couple minutes, back again to your antics.
JAMantic of the Day:
1. Ever since your Auntie Sher came for a visit, you have been turning Aussie on me. Today, when I asked you to pronounce the letter "a", you said "eye". Egads! My baby is Australian!;)
2. Coming home from work and as we settled for bed, I asked you what happened to Mamala. I didn't expect the vim with which you explained to me what you saw. You pointed your hand where you recalled Mamala to have the IV Fluid inserted and then said "Lala, yayay". Wow!
Your MAYmah,
