TO: The ANGEL in my Womb
Wow that feels so nice to call you "Angel".
Well, I've decided, boy or girl, you're an "Angel" to both me and Daddy - the answer to our prayer. You know, your Daddy hasn't showed any signs of his existence yet...and I'm sad. It does not help being pregnant because I'm ever more sensitive (2x) ;)
Anyhow, this discussion should be fun; your Ninang Jaijai and I were talking about you earlier today. I'm not quite sure if you got it because you were so still and unstirringly quiet. The talk started with an unexpected revelation from your Ninang once, when she was sleeping. It was about 6AM, I just stepped into the room after a morning chore then suddenly she murmurs something. I thought she was oriented and coherent coz her eyes were open. I asked her what she said and with a matter-of-factly tone, she answered "Scheduled nga lubot! I was thinking, off the top of my head "What the heck was that about?" I summoned all the knowledge I acquired from Kindergarten, Elementary, High School, Architecture, and then Nursing but couldn't make sense out of it. When I asked her again, her voice rose to a knowing timbre "Scheduled na lubot bah?!" as if Iw as expected to know what that really was. She drifted back to what seemed to be sweet slumber, leaving me to figure out what "scheduled na lubot" was, for the whole day.
It wasn't until she was fully oriented(to time, place, and people) that she laughed at it and rebuked her how she could be so exacting as to expect me to understand what she was blabbering about. Soon we laughed at the very fact that she was in actuality dreaming of patients' butts being scheduled for examination.
So earlier today, I remembered about it when I told her that I made religious reports to you. She said that I should tell her on you about the "Scheduled na lubot" issue. Hence I have debriefed you though it slipped at one point and it wasn't until she reminded me that I was prompted to share it to you. We went on discussing that I'm planning, on your eighteenth birthday - your debut to society, after I've type-written these chronicles (encoded them , if I may for a more contemporary term). I'll gather all letters, memoirs, pictures, etc. and give them to you as a gift on that eventful day. Your Mamilou did this for Ninang and is rather caught up to make a belated one for me. The difference between hers and this mine though is that I have made sure to write every other day, if not daily.
Time to park my pen. I love you Sweetheart!
