Days of "Strawberry Jam" without "J"
Dear Jam,
I feel kinda bad that you've had less than the necessary hours of sleep. You were just cranky today at every chance. I understand, I've hadn't had as much sleep myself and I'm a bit cranky but such a little body, a little brain - I can only guess how you coped up for the lack of sleep so far. So yes, we went to Molugan for the BARANGAY ELECTIONS and owing to that, we had to wake up early, very very early. Too early to stir you from slumber and I didn't like it one bit that at one point, I think I was totally annoyed with Mamilou trying to wake you up. So you threw tantrum after tantrum when you had the chance! You wouldn't go near Ate Hannie, your beloved Ate Hannie, who confessed she was near to tears when you pushed her away whenever she tried to hug you or even just to give you a peck on the cheek. You screamed at Tita-Ninang-Jollibee-Ma'am-Deen and Tita Teeteen when they tried to kiss your precious feet. Hey! Everybody missed you and you wouldn't give them the benefit of your precious little attention. I myself, wasn't excused. You'd slip from my fingers, especially with this height of yours, you could manage to climb down a seat that was higher than you. As soon as you got down, you would run around the grass, which I understood purely out of sheer ignorance of grass. And it was cute to see you roam, explore - if only it wasn't so darned hot! I was just scared that you might pass out under the sun to heat stroke and that's not a pretty thing to consider. Although, there are two special people whom you have exempted - your Tito Miggy and Tito Jolo. Men! Boys! You exempted them, easily slipped into their embrace, even begged them to pull you off your feet. Well, I guess it's to compensate for the absence of Daddy so it's okay.
As Mommy is the hometown superstar and Mamilou is the Mayor's Secretary, naturally it's easier for the townspeople to see you. You are the new superstar now. This made it easier for me to slip you in the precinct and take a couple of pictures you in it, without anybody having to tell me off. I took a picture of Mamilou voting and a proof of my ballot filled out :D After that, we passed by Lolo Papa Joe's, my second home! A place I haven't been to for a long time since Lolo Papa Joe and Mamilou had a little fall out. I am glad that they are better now...and that we can visit them as we did when I was younger. It's always nice to have family around and just be surrounded by their love.
The ride home was the little travail
for us. Most of the jeep to the city were hired by the opposing party for moving them from and to places as they pleased. The taxi were scarce unlike the National Elections. The only thing that made it a little more bearable than it was supposed to be irritating, was you. You were muttering after me saying "tatsi" when I said "taxi". Even cuter was when a taxi passed by, Mamilou waved after it in vain and you said "Yay!" - it's that characteristic Visayan comment similar to clicking the tongue, yours is only shorter for "ayay". Hahah!!! You even said "hudat", which is Visayan "hulat" for "wait". Then said "Yay!" again when we finally hailed a taxi and then comes a half-empty jeep. CUTE!!!
Mamilou joined us for lunch at the pad. The cafe was closed for the holiday so we spent the day at home. I bought a delish piece of chicken from CHOOKS for lunch, Ice cream sundae for dessert and a cutesy ball, HELLO KITTY fan for my precious little Pumpkin and a little Christmas Tree for the pad at only Php28! :D We'll decorate that one soon as we get enough decor to dress it with :D I am so thankful that though you and I were tired and sleepy, you helped fix the table for lunch. You were sweet and thoughtful enough to spread out the plates.
JAMantic of the Day:
You and I were done with our siesta and it was Nahnang's time to enjoy her forty winks. Almost. For as she was waiting to be pulled fully into dreamland, your sweet voice serenades her. I don't know what you were singing but you were angelic to perform it, hands on the sides as if you were Charice Pempengco "Sinopa...sinopa...sinopa". You must have composed it! ;)
Your MAYmah,
