Days of "Strawberry Jam" without "J"
Dear Jam,
We played the matching game today and thanks to our beloved sponsor, we are rocking eye-soothing orange shirts from OLD NAVY. Yours had a print of the peach fruit where it says "I'm just Peachy" ain't you the one? And mine has all that fancy, shining beads collectively designed as a big heart. You love the fancy decoration, taking the time to feel them with your hands, going over them with your eyes.
I am a little worried about you today, the cough that we were slightly worried about yesterday has suddenly taken a bark that tells us your cough couldn't be any more real. We just had to drop by the drugstore to buy the prescriptions from Ninang Dockie Nathalie. Thank God for Ninangs! She told me to grab some Salbutamol, which should be handy for a sort of cough and an antihestamine. If everything doesn't go well after three days on these, we should proceed with Cefalexin. I am having second thoughts of telling Daddy. I just don't want to sensationalize something that may only just be a peeve for work.
Cute that however you are barking outwardly and groaning inwardly in your lungs, you never forgot your fashion forwardness and how you insist on your own style. I suggested that you wore the slippers with orange flowers so it would match your shirt. BUT! But you took your loud pink Crocs slip-on and until you wore your sunglasses, I couldn't have understood your choice. It was when you wore both shoes and glasses that I saw the whole picture - their colors matched! What is even sweeter met me at the doorstep on our way out. You know, those slip-on Crocs were always stored in a plastic bag because we always brought it with us as spare. We had to put it in our bag and so wrapped it in a separate plastic to avoid grits under it from falling into other stuff. Cute that when I was looking for my shoes, my eyes fell upon the very plastic where now another pair of slipper was placed in the stead of the one you were wearing. Then you were gesturing me to put the plastic in my back so you can have spare slippers. This is the reason why this picture is significant; it shows your ingenuity of replacing a pair of slippers for another, the slipper you could have been wearing but you just would not and Mommy's own sandals from Antilo. Lovely!
You will have to forgive me someday for this but...(screaming at the top of my lungs now) I WATCHED HARRY POTTER! I just couldn't help it. Last night's partial viewing was just driving me crazy. As a Harry Potter fan, that's not a good thing. So there but I made sure that I locked our budget down. We didn't have spare for my vice so I asked Mamilou to sponsor since we had to spend a lot for your medicine. Then I went around the city to look for a theater where I can view it over and again since every cinema seemed keen to stick to the "GUARANTEED SEATS" Policy. It turned out that everywhere I went, it was the case, due to Warner Brother's order. There are parts, which aren't suitable for you so I am just glad that you didn't get to watch it on DVD. Nagini, that huge snake of Voldemort's move to close-up on the camera in a swift movement wasn't half of the startling things you get to see from the movie.
I let Nahnang watch over the cafe while I was away, where she waited for me to discuss about the movie, just like any two typical Harry Potter fan. We have also agreed to start on our own blogging, which has been pending for sometime, seeing as I have more time to do it that I am now at present with "365 Days of Strawberry Jam". We call it "The Misadventures of Yin and Yang" from the sketch we imagined to create long ago. Speaking of our blog, I was met with a pleasant surprise from Antilo who viewed our DAY 232 entry. She said that it was "precious". It's amazing, like a stage play getting a good review from a sponsor. Cheers! Another thing to celebrate about is Nahnang's and my picture with D'Crammerz, which was chosen for MORE BITES Pizza "Group of the Month" Contest. The picture with the most votes gets pizza! Nom nom nom!
So where were you? I left you in the care of Mamilou and Lolo. They were more than happy to do so.
ACCORDING TO MAMILOU:
You have a cute and funny way of saying everybody's first names. Accordingly,
ARMAN (Lolo) > Ah-man
JUAN (Papalo) > Ooh-wan
HELEN(Mamala) > Eh-len
NENNEN(Mamilou) > En-nen
YENYEN(Mommy) > En-ynen
JUMBO (Daddy) > Joo-booh
JOHN BORG (Nohnong) > Jan-booh
WALLY (Nohnong) > Ah-wee
JAIJAI (Nahnang) > Dah-dai
(Mommy laughs hard here)
Reportedly, Mamilou says that you also asked her to pose for you. You were like me, the makeup artist, combing Mamilou's hair and prepping her for the shoot and as the photographer, you told her how to pose, how to hold her chin up with her hand. Just like what you did to me a couple of days ago, right? She also said that you've been picking up Tagalog quite well from Papalo and Mamala. Earlier when you were bored with the magazines, you grabbed page after page and crumpled them in your hands then giving them to Mamilou, you said "Tapon!"
When Nahnang and I arrived in Kauswagan, it was apparent that you had a great time with Mamilou and Lolo, truer for the latter. You were in his little bunk and though you had been informed of my arrival, you couldn't be uprooted. I found out that you enjoyed playing with him, jumping and thumping on his bed. You were later on convinced to come out to find that we had brought the colorful puto with us for your late night snack. You were a sight to watch, standing on the table with all there is to feast, where you are the most visually palatable of all.
Turning in for the night, we bunked with Nahnang and played for a while. As usual, you didn't want to sleep on schedule. We gave you a couple of things to busy yourself with and it was an empty box that you came upon to play pretend with as if it were a makeup box full of colors. You opened it up infront of me and like I would do it to my models, you whipped up some makeup from the pallet and on to my face. When I asked Nahnang to take a picture of you doing it, you gave her a dose of what was supposed to be a cute pose. This is the reason for that silly little smirk that you have in this picture.
JAMantic of the Day:
This isn't new as you have been doing this for almost a week but it was today that Mamilou and everyone else seemed to notice how you pound your feet when in comes a tune, joined by the melodious clicking of your tongue as you go with the music. My daughter, the young musician.
Your MAYmah,
