Days of "Strawberry Jam" without "J"
Dear Jam,
You were such a charmer today!
You were a charmer at home, wearing this shirt that has the obvious word of "CHARMING" printed on it. You were already awake when I got home from the Department of Foreign Affairs for my passport. I went ahead to buy important supplies for our stores at SAVE More Supermarket, so that means I was so tired when I got home. I was walking in my 3-inch wedge, from DFA to Limketkai then to SM! I am thankful of two things tho, people more like and that is firstly our friend, Tito Ryan at the DFA. He was a great help, he made my application quicker than anyone who waited there since 5 AM. I would have left that off and went with proper protocol if I wasn't rushing to come home to you. I deeply consider your Tito Ryan as an instrument of God and I am awfully grateful. I need to remind myself to have something for Tito before or by Christmas.
The other person should be you. Well, you and Nahnang collectively. But you first because your face was the first thing I ever saw when I stepped in, charming away all my cares and exhaustion. You charmed Nahnang when she came out from the shower saying "Hi Jaijai!" Haha! We were shocked, pleasantly for though you didn't address her as "Nahnang" and was on first-name basis like she wasn't your Aunt, it was too cute to be true! So we laughed at it. When everything else was in place, including you, in bed, you asked me and Nahnang to "Yai dow" or "lie down", patting the spaces on either of your side where we were allowed to sit beside you for TV time. From that, we watched Cubeez in their episode on senses where you learned the word "smell". That would be "smew" to you! ;)
You were most charming in Lapasan, where were it not for your antics, the blackout would have been unbearable. We had at least two hours without light that the cafe had to be closed and everyone had to huddle upstairs in the FoodHauz, where there was but a solitary light. This light served as the very spotlight for your performance! You showed Mamala and Lolo your hair-flipping moves to Kim Chu's "Back to Rejoicing", showed them from poses one to five; movements progressing from hands on the waist, toe peak, bendings, and hands farming the face; you also exhibited how you pronounce your name. I am talking about "Aynjo Wawi Ducky Dubia" which has now become "Ayndo Mawee Tatti Daday". Haha! Regression? You also showed them how adept you were with the camera and took picture of them both. You took a rather cute shot, it was blurry so to say technically but then you captured the candid spirit of Mamala and Lolo, which they rarely give to cameras when we take their photos. It is only so evident in their smile how you have come to amuse them a lot.
When the fun wore off with your energy, we proceeded to discuss about this blackout and that thunderstorm the other day. I shared to Mamala how I found out in LISTVERSE that the magnetic attraction between the sun and the Earth causes power disruption, probably leading to that revelation of the holocaust when we would experience three full days of darkness. Nahnang said perhaps even more than three days should LISTVERSE's source calculation be accurate. Mamala added that back in their days, they were told that when that day comes, even the candles couldn't be lit because they will not light up anymore. Could that mean there would either be a lack of phosphor or oxygen in the air? Two important elements to create fire? *sigh* Suddenly, we became fatalistic but then looking at that source of hope, you, we forgot about it altogether.
Here you are enjoying how it puzzles you to figure out shapes and colors! ;)
Thanks once again to Ninang Jeng who helped me realize that an archive list would be very helpful. I fixed "365 Days of Strawberry Jam" so that the previous entries would be easily accessible.
JAMantic of the Day:
More like a skill than an antic actually. It's about brushing your teeth, which you did quite a progress today. Unlike before that you only knew how to open your mouth. Today, during shower from work, you showed me how you can move from mouth, to teeth, and then tongue for me to easily brush.
P.S. Daddy texted to say that they are leaving for Finland. *sigh* A couple of days without contact again. :/
Your Mommy,
