Days of "Strawberry Jam" without "J"
Dear Jam,
Here we are having fun, you and I since Nahnang went back to Kauswagan for the week. She'll be back tomorrow tho, around to assist me with my scheduled photoshoot. So here, you played my testing shot model. I wanted to see the lighting effect and everything - this picture proves that not only is the resolution okay as well as the lighting but so is your posing. And who would think you were only wearing my "bya" on your head? Haha! There are three versions of this shot, one with you bending your head down, the other with your face directly at me but with that hand holding the strap as if modeling. This third one, I like best; eyes looking away but you're still making contact with the camera as you have that expression in your face and the hand poised as if modeling a sort of bra brand.
Most of the day, waiting for our time to go to the cafe, was spent on exploring tastes, sights,
sounds, movements. You loved the simple lunch I prepared today and it was nothing more than fried rice tossed with those little fishies that you like, we had diced tomatoes to add flavor to it, which you rather enjoyed immensely at your own expense. We then had watermelon as your favorite dessert, demanding "sha-pa" or "isa pa" to mean "one more" of it. You also learned how to eat cross-sitting on the floor. You saw me do it as well as praying, which you both mimicked with near accuracy. You learned how to sing "Thumb Man Makes a Bow" and learned that "sheep", though sounding similarly with "maaa" as a "cow", is still called a "sheep". You were corrected so because when you opened you book, you pointed it and said "cow". Your pronunciation for "Cubeez" has also progressed from "Beebeez" to "Choobeez", I say we just need a little more practice to get there. You demanded "Choobeez" because you weren't warming up to The Egyptian Marathon I was intent to watch. As "The Princess of the Sun" cartoon was starting to wear you off, you were all over the place again until you convinced me to put "Choobeezx" on.
You know, I was set off today on our way to work. As we walked to the jeepney stop, we were joined by a gay person. In this case, a man with a long hair who moved like a woman. Now he had already taken his ride when this motorcab drives by and shouts at me in an almost derogatory manner, the Visayan word for gay, "Bayot!" I was puzzling, thinking that perhaps he had mistaken me for the gay man since we almost had the same length of locks. But then again, I was carrying you and then a bigger cup size around my chest. Trifle put off, I puzzled until we reached the cafe. Thankfully, Daddy's numerous messages greeted me on my Facebook. This made me forget all that nonsense earlier! But then again, that made my day too! In a funny kind of way.
JAMantic of the Day:
You were teasing me. Really you were. I was texting Daddy when you leaned on me to check my phone iterating and reiterating "Mommy ish Daddy. Mommy ish Daddy." Sweet that I may have understood it to either be "Mommy text Daddy", "Mommy miss Daddy" or "Mommy kiss Daddy." Eitherway, they all sound sweet!
Your MAYmah,
