Milestone Memoir 2009

September 18, 2009

Dear Baby Kitten,

Mommy is so exhausted, I don't know why - I didn't do much but clean the room, really but that's equivalent to an hour of bellydancing and I cut on my session today to give way for floor sweeping, srubbing and then mopping for. It will make for a cleaner room for your mobility practice. It must be my spirit, it's tired and I don't know why - hrrgggghh! I went to a classmate's house this PM. In fact, I just got home but I barely lifted a finger to demonstrate the massage routine. I'm talking about Ate Fely's house where we had a pre-NC II practice with my groupmates but we surrendered eventually because everyone was talking together that we couldn't understand each other.

I am excited and nervous for our certifications exam - anxious you can bet. I must be tired from the bike ride because her son had to send me home and it's been three years since I rode on a bike. I think I got tense, my muscles were taut albeit I was eager to ride on it! And then I remember Daddy and there I was, wishful thinking how that could have been him. Then a lot of thoughts came flooding in, haunting me. Him. My dark past. Then I remembered you - suddenly, I couldn't wait to go home. You were so - errr, I can't describe it but as you acted it, you kept gritting your milk teeth against your upper gum. It's a reflex we have christened "the strong face" because you make a tensed grimace with furrowed brows, mouth open to show the grinding of teeth against gum.

Mamilou bought a DVD with that Korean pop song you have taken fancy to "Nobody, Nobody" but you stopped liking it since there was an issue of death in Tondo because of the song. So the story goes that a frat boy was stabbed by his "brother" because that killer turned out to hate the song. That plus they were both drunk. Poor boy! Killed for a song! I mean, since I heard the news, I stopped liking it then I realized, so did you. You wouldn't dance to it as much or should we just say, you had a change of preference? Now you like "Fire Song" by another Korean group named 2N1, which I like better as well. You were dancing to the beat but stopped whenever I attempted to take your video.

I left at about 4:30 PM (1630Hrs) but didn't get home until 10:30 PM (2230Hrs) because some of my groupmates took so long to arrive at Ate Fely's spot. Filipino time, I know right? At 7:00 PM (1900Hrs) I was already missing you - so I called home and spoke to you. Mamilou said you wanted to hold the receiver and press some buttons on it. I'm just worried because you're losing weight to teething... :(

Love, Mamimeow
