DAY 284: September 27th, 2010; MONDAY
Dear Jam,
That's you, enjoying a slice (actually, slices) of watermelon or what the Ivatans aptly call "simon" (si-mohn). It's funny that you refused to go near Mamala or Papalo until they showed you the fruit. You warmed up to them, thus this scenario.
We have a new fan for "365 Days of Strawberry Jam" and it's no less than your Ate Hannah! I felt flattered - no, that's an understatment. I felt a kind of an elated appreciation when she wished that she could go back into the womb and come out into the world as my daughter so that she could experience having been written a blog like this for herself. Or else, she could ask her Mom why she didn't write a blog for her. It's a precious feeling, to be admired for something I do, even more so when it's something I'm not only doing for myself but for someone I love. I honestly didn't know what to tell her. I was speechless when deep inside I just wanted to hug her and say thanks, and that I would love to be a mother of twins, she and your Ate Hannie. I've always wanted twins! Nah! I think that would have made her cry, I think both of us - we've shallow tears, Ate Hannah and I, you know.
Early before Ate Hannah's visit on my watch, Daddy, you, and I went to SM to buy our monthly supplies to fill up our stores. You weren't rowdy as we had expected you, maybe because you were pulling your own weight against drowsiness. When you would usually be excited about, you weren't, as you won that bubble water bottle free off SM's Yellow Tag promo. We also went to Kauswagan to get a couple of stuff we left. It was a short visit and nothing much happened but you tripping on Nahnang's enormous NEMO bedroom slippers. That's your early morning floral surprise for me today, by the way, to your right.
On a sad note, Dad's office called to tell him that he needed to renew his VISA for Netherlands. It looks like, it's almost time for him to leave again. On a brighter note, I heard from Tita Daisy, Limketkai's HRMO and Admin that the building under construction in that prime business area near Micky D's and Missy Bonbon is - STARBUCKS! *gah*
JAMantic of the Day:
Yesterday, you learned how to hold your medicine dropper and assist Mommy in administering it to yourself. Today, you learned how to identify it amongst the clutter in the ref, get it from where it's kept and then return it after your dose.
Your MAYmah,
